Strikeforce announced Frank Trigg vs Falaniko Vitale for their October 3rd show in Denver. So far it hasn’t been announced if it will air on live TV. Other fights on the card include Duane Ludwig vs Sammy Morgan and Phil Baroni is also slated to fight.
Frank Trigg also has a bout for August 24th against Makato Takimoto on WVR Sengoku 4.

It has been reported that Vitor Belfort has broken his hand in two places.
Let me be the first to say thank goodness we are spared from this boring ass fight. I can tell you the play by play of how this fight would have taken place. Round 1, they meet in the center of the ring. Vitor throws 2 punches and miss. Matt Lindland takes him down and lays on him throwing strikes that wouldn’t hurt flies, round ends. 2nd round the exact same thing happens except that Matt is a little bit sweaty. So Belfort is gasping for air cause Matt’s whole body smells like shit, round ends. 3rd round Lindland takes Vitor down and Vitor taps out and Matt wins via submission “I smell like the monkey house at the zoo.”

It was announced that Christiano Santos will fight Yoko Takahashi on the September 20th EliteXC card that takes place in New Mexico. Although fans want to see a showdown between Santos and Gina Carano they will have to wait. Carano is already set to face Kelly Kobald on the Oct 4th card. In case you were wondering what Yoko Takahashi looks like I found a picture of her for you guys. How come MMA women are so HOT??!!

It was announced that Renato Sobral will fight the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion and Ultimate Fighter season 1 cast member Bobby Southworth. This is the second fight announced for the 10 fight slated Strikeforce at the Mansion. I’m looking forward to this event but not because of the fights, because we can see more of these.

The fight with St Pierre will probably take place in December, leaving the 155 belt undefended till 2009. Penn is confident that if he beats St. Pierre, he has the ability to defend both titles.
Kenny Florian just came of a great win against Roger Huerta will have to wait for a title shot. But he doesn’t want to wait that long to fight again. In the UFC 87 press conference Kenny stated he will fight again in 2008 regardless if its for the title.
I bet BJ got a BJ from that girl. Ha! See what I did there?

Lee Murray is a suspect in a 53 million dollar bank robbery, Britain’s biggest in history. If that doesn’t make someone cool than this certainly does. In Matt Hughes Biography he reflects on a time when his trainer Pat Militech met Murray,
The entire alley erupted into a huge brawl. I was just standing there, and there were bodies flying all over the place. I was confused how it all happened, because it happened so fast. I was standing there with my mouth open like ‘what the hell is going on?’ I looked over and Chuck Liddell was with his back against the wall, knocking people out that were trying to go after him. Then I looked over and there’s Tito directly past me, taking his coat off, going after Lee Murray, and Lee Murray’s backing up the alley taking his jacket off. Both their jackets come off, and Tito throws a left hook at Lee Murray and misses, and right as he missed, Lee Murray counters with, like, a five-punch combo, landed right on the chin, and knocked Tito out. OUT. Tito fell face-first down to the ground, and then Lee Murray stomped him on the face a couple of times with his boots. Then Tony Fryklund and I grabbed Lee and pushed Lee and said ‘Get out of here!’ And Lee said ‘I’m sorry, I’ll see you later,’ and took off. And Tony Fryklund helped Tito to his feet.
This guy is my hero! If you don’t think he is a badass now there’s more. Lee Murray was also involved in a brawl outside the Funky Buddha club in London back in 2005 and was stabbed multiple times. It resulted in a punctured lung, and a severed artery. A doctor had to perform life saving surgery and Lee was resuscitated 4 times during the operation.
He must not have learned his lesson, because the Bank robbery accured June 25th 2006. Lee is currently being held in a Kent prison awaiting trial. Appart from the robbery he is also accused of, “Committing violent crime and beating and humiliating members of the security forces.” This guy is so cool!

The world is waiting on the edge of their seats!! Not really, but its been reported that Tito is in an active negotiation with Affliction. Tito says its a, “Groundbreaking Deal.” In other news my neighbor’s cat got stuck up in a tree. Luckily the police came and got her down. You tell me which story is more exciting.

Fedor flew in from Russia and met up with Randy Couture for a secret meeting yesterday. Today they were able to be reached for comment and it seems that they want to make this fight happen before Randy turns 90. According to the UFC, Randy owes them 2 more fights on his contract that he walked away from. So one likely way they could meet is in the UFC.
Fedor’s manager Vadim Finkelstein says that he is not against trying to make another deal with the UFC. Last time they tried to negotiate it was a failure and Dana White blamed it on Fedor’s camp calling them, “Crazy Russians.”
Finkelstein had a comment about that, “Of course, he can’t deal with us because he can’t deal with anybody, he wants to have everything in his own control, but we can’t deal with people that want to control everything.” (pwned)
If this fight happens it is likely to be a Million Dollar Pay Per View prospect. I’m sure the greedy fucks at UFC would hate to let this fight go to Affliction. But if they can’t get their heads out of their asses it might.
