The fight with St Pierre will probably take place in December, leaving the 155 belt undefended till 2009. Penn is confident that if he beats St. Pierre, he has the ability to defend both titles.
Kenny Florian just came of a great win against Roger Huerta will have to wait for a title shot. But he doesn’t want to wait that long to fight again. In the UFC 87 press conference Kenny stated he will fight again in 2008 regardless if its for the title.

I don’t know why Penn wants so badly to go up in weight to fight St. Pierre. I think the much larger Georges is going to hand his ass to him.
