Phil Baroni’s last bout was 7/12/08 when he scored a knockout victory over Scott Jansen. And 3 weeks to the day later he is fighting Ron Verdadero at Icon sport this weekend. Fighting this often is a good strategy in my book simply because you stay in fighting shape and you don’t get ring rust. We just saw what happened to Quinton Jackson after he took almost a year off. Mark Hunt has lost his last 2 after returning from a year and a half lay off.
